Agricultural Research Agency of Sardinia – AGRIS Sardegna

Associated Member

The Regional Agricultural Research Agency of Sardinia (Agris Sardegna) was established in 2006, bringing together five former research institutions with expertise in diverse aspects of agricultural research and development. The Agency’s mission is to foster sustainable rural development, safeguard and enhance animal, plant, and microbial biodiversity, and advance the agro-industrial, forestry, and fisheries sectors in Sardinia.

Agris Sardegna pursues its mission through a wide range of activities: scientific research and development projects; technical and scientific support to farmers and agri-food industries; management of EU-registered trademark product consortiums; training; and public dissemination. Agris is also responsible for the management of the Regional Germplasm Bank for Agriculture and Food (BRGAgriS) of Autonomous Region of Sardinia.
